OSL take:
The government of Sri Lanka is currently focusing on upgrading its public transport systems. The purchase of 12 locomotives from General Electric Company for Sri Lanka Railways is part of this programme. The government is also in the process of purchasing new electric buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board. Given the government’s latest programme, it would give an opportunity for foreign companies engaged in providing modern transport solutions to propose new as well as cost effective methods to upgrade Sri Lanka’s public transport system more efficiently.
