UberEats further expands operations while completing one year in Sri Lanka

UberEats has reportedly completed one year in Sri Lanka expanding restaurant sales with more than million deliveries and expanding work opportunities for women and making the more independent.
“One of our biggest achievements in the last year would be the ‘Uber DiviyataDiriya’ initiative where we work with a number of female partners as well as partners in other marginalized communities,” Bhavna Dadlani, head of UberEats Sri Lanka has told EconomyNext News.
“This initiative gives them access to many economic opportunities otherwise inaccessible for these communities.”
With a million orders delivered over the past year, UberEast has stated that it has helped drive Sri Lanka’s the food delivery from telephone calling to an app.
“Food delivery is still very new to this market, so we create a lot of opportunities as we go along,” Dadlani has said.
“One of the biggest culture shifts we observed since coming in is the transition of call-based delivery system to delivery through a app.”
UberEasts signs up restaurants and motorcycles riders called delivery partners, who take food to customers who order using a mobile application.
