Sri Lankan government to call for fresh bids to build two hotels near BIA in Katunayake
The Sri Lankan government is to reportedly call for fresh bids to build two hotels near the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
The previous attempt to launch the project failed, but the government is looking at continuing with the project again.
The Cabinet of Minister has last week approved the proposal by Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, Co-Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Gayantha Karunathileka has told the media.
Fresh bids for a four-star hotel on a state land had already been called and the Cabinet has reportedly decided to call for fresh bids to choose an investor build a two-star hotel.
