OSL take:

Sri Lankan missions overseas are currently promoting business/investment opportunities in the island. Special focus is paid to China since bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China are currently growing from strength to strength. China is also one of the key trade partners of Sri Lanka and is a key stakeholder of the island’s development programme. Sri Lanka is fast becoming a business hub in the South Asian region given it’s geographical positioning in the Indian Ocean and the many trade agreements as well as trade concessions enjoyed by the country. China has also placed much importance on Sri Lanka in it’s belt and road initiative (BRI). Chinese businesses/investors could therefore confidently explore business opportunities in Sri Lanka.
