OSL take:
The steady growth in the country’s tourism industry as well as the overall economic expansion that has resulted in an increase in the arrival of foreign business travelers to the country have expanded business/investment opportunities in several key economic sectors – tourism as well as airport and aviation sectors. The expansion in these sectors are mainly focused on meeting the requirements of the increasing activities due to the increase in arrivals in the country. These activities would see a continuous increase in these sectors given Sri Lanka’s target of becoming a regional hub while also being identified as a must visit tourist destination in the country. The business/investment opportunities in these sectors are therefore mainly in the development of infrastructure and supplementary infrastructure facilities. The increasing business potential in Sri Lanka is witnessed by the interest shown by many foreign businesses/investors to enter Sri Lanka’s tourism as well as airport and aviation sectors. All these developments indicate that other foreign businesses/investors could also confidently explore the expanding business/investment opportunities in the country’s tourism as well as airport and aviation sectors.
