Local authorities are also focused on further expanding the sector by engaging in promotional campaigns in many new foreign markets while also calling on local exporters to diversify and expand the existing export product portfolio. The country is also looking to further strengthen its trade ties with foreign countries by securing trade deals with more countries. All these have helped further boost Sri Lanka’s exports sector also resulting in the expansion of business/investment opportunities in the sector. The incentives offered by Sri Lanka to foreign businesses/investors entering the local exports sector serves as a key attraction to the sector. Given the growth, expansion and profits recorded by businesses engaged in the exports sector and the increasing business potential in the sector, foreign businesses/investors could explore the expanding business/investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s exports sector. Foreign businesses could also collaborate with local businesses in the sector to explore the possibilities of further expanding operations and fully utilizing the strong trade ties enjoyed by Sri Lanka with other countries.
