OSL take:
The expansion of businesses that use Sri Lankan tea and coffee beans in to the foreign market is a clear indication of the quality of local products. The expansion of a restaurant chain that uses Sri Lankan tea and coffee would definitely boost the two commodities, which are also export crops, among foreigners. Foreign businesses/investors could therefore confidently explore the expanding opportunities in Sri Lanka’s tea and coffee sectors. They could also look at forming partnerships or joint ventures with local businesses engaged in these sectors with the aim of expanding. With Sri Lanka aiming at becoming an emerging business destination in the South Asian region and the overall expansion of the country in line with it would ensure a growing business potential in the tea and coffee sectors.
