Hellmann, MAS Holdings expands South Asia network with Sri Lanka logistics hub
EconomyNext: Hellmann MAS Supply Chain, a joint venture between Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and MAS Holdings, has developed a logistics facility in Kimbulapitiya, Sri Lanka, meant to serve as a dedicated fashion hub within Hellmann’s South Asia network.
The facility spans more than 8,000 square meters, features dual-zone humidity and climate control, and is equipped with solar panels, and is designed to handle the full spectrum of fashion logistics, according to a statement.
The infrastructure will support regional distribution needs across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
“With this new built-to-suit facility, we are strengthening the end-to-end fashion logistics capabilities of Hellmann MAS Supply Chain,” Patrick Grzywa, Regional COO Contract Logistics IMEA, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics said.
Sri Lanka’s position as a gateway connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe, enables Hellmann to deliver logistics solutions tailored to evolving fashion supply chains, the company said.
“We are moving beyond traditional garment manufacturing to enable more integrated, end-to-end supply chain solutions for global brands,” said Shakthi Ranatunge, Chief Operating Officer at MAS Holdings and Board Member of Hellmann MAS Supply Chain.
“This facility enhances our ability to offer speed and agility while supporting the development of a more resilient and future-ready apparel ecosystem in Sri Lanka.”
The investment reinforces MAS Holdings’ position as South Asia’s largest apparel tech company, the company said.
