French Sri Lankan academic partnership to support sustainable water management in Sri Lanka
Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka Eric Lavertu accompanied by the Chairman of Sri Lanka’s National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB), Nishantha Ranatunga has reportedly felicitated nine students who had completed a 15-month Water for All master programme by AgroParisTech and Suez that took place between Montpellier in France and the home country that also included a case study in Morocco.
According to local media reports, this academic collaboration complements NWSDB’s infrastructure projects and paves the way for a longer-term partnership between Sri Lanka’s Water Board and AgroParisTech.
The students had returned to Sri Lanka after graduating from the Water for All specialised master programme recording outstanding results.
The programme had also allowed them to reinforce their management skills in their respective fields.
