Another firm, Aussee Oats Milling Pvt. Ltd, manufactures rolled oats, steel cut oats, instant oats, quick oats, sweet and savory oats, oat flour, oat bran and muesli for export.
The zone has its own waste processing facilities.

OSL take:

Foreign investments to Sri Lanka are on the increase and the expansion of the BOI’s Mirigama export industrial zone to accommodate more foreign invested companies is indicative of the increasing confidence of foreign businesses in Sri Lanka’s economy. The BOI has several industrial zones island wide dedicated for foreign invested companies to set up factories in Sri Lanka. These zones also posses the necessary infrastructure facilities to set up an industrial operation. Foreign investors/businesses could explore the possibility of setting up operations in one of these industrial zones.
