VentureTECH invests in Sri Lankan-founded cybersecurity company DeltaSpike
Daily Mirror: DeltaSpike, a Sri Lankan-founded cybersecurity technology company headquartered in Malaysia, has secured a strategic investment from VentureTECH, a Malaysian government-backed impact investment firm.
The investment marks an important milestone for the company as it strengthens its technology platform and expands its cybersecurity operations across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
The funding will support the continued development of DeltaSpike’s intelligence-driven cybersecurity offerings and accelerate the company’s regional growth strategy, enabling organisations to better manage increasingly sophisticated and automated cyber threats.
Founded by Sri Lankan innovators and headquartered in Malaysia, DeltaSpike represents a growing wave of regional technology companies that bridge South Asian engineering expertise with Southeast Asia’s digital infrastructure and enterprise ecosystem. The company’s regional footprint enables it to support organisations operating across multiple markets while maintaining strong technical capabilities rooted in both Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
The investment will accelerate the advancement of DeltaSpike’s cybersecurity capabilities, with a strong emphasis on AI and machine learning-driven detection engineering, expanded Managed Detection and Response services, enhanced Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing and strengthened incident response capabilities.
In parallel, the company will continue to advance the automation of key security operations workflows to improve operational efficiency and resilience. These strategic enhancements are designed to deliver deeper threat visibility across increasingly complex digital environments, enable faster and more precise response to emerging threats and support more scalable and intelligence-driven security operations for enterprises across the region.
DeltaSpike currently operates Security Operations Centres in both Malaysia and Sri Lanka, supporting organisations across Asia, Europe and Middeleast. This regional delivery model enables continuous monitoring, threat intelligence correlation and rapid incident response for enterprises operating across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments.
The technology enhancements supported by this investment will further strengthen the capabilities of DeltaSpike’s Security Operations Centres, enabling more advanced threat detection, faster investigation cycles and improved cross-regional intelligence sharing between the company’s operational hubs.
DeltaSpike founder and Chief Visionary Officer Shihan Annon said the investment reinforces the company’s long-term vision of building intelligence-driven security operations for the region.
“Cybersecurity today requires more than monitoring tools. It requires intelligent systems that can correlate signals, prioritise risks and respond at speed. This strategic investment enables us to accelerate the development of our platform while strengthening the capabilities of our security operations infrastructure across the region.”
DeltaSpike Director Nabhan Akeel noted that the partnership with VentureTECH highlights the company’s continued growth and technology direction.
“This investment reflects strong confidence in DeltaSpike’s technology roadmap and our ability to scale across regional markets. Our focus remains on strengthening our platform capabilities, expanding our operational footprint and supporting organisations that require advanced cybersecurity solutions in an increasingly digital economy.”
