Construction of Upper Elahera Canal -Long Tunnels.
The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Mahaweli Water Security Investment Program (MWSIP) – Tranche 2. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment (MMDE), represented by The Program Management Unit (PMU) of The Mahaweli Water Security Investment Program (“the Employer”), invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Upper Elahara Canal from 27+509km to 55+600km including 27.7km Long Tunnels (“the Works”).
Open Competitive Bidding (OCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelop bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
