Sri Lanka’s flagship real estate event – Lanka Property Show 2019 – held for the fourth time

Sri Lanka’s flagship real estate event of the year, the Lanka Property Show 2019, was held for the fourth time on February 9-10 at the Kingsbury Hotel’s Balmoral Hall.
The event is organized by LankaPropertyWeb, the leading property portal of the country.
A local media report has stated that the Lanka Property show 2019 is ideal if you are interested in joining discussions and having in person conversations about the current state and future of the real estate market.
The event has been deemed as Sri Lanka’s largest property show, attracting the country’s most renowned property developers, real estate agents and banks all coming together under one roof to offer consumers a chance to view, express interest in, and eventually have an opportunity to invest in Sri Lanka’s fast growing real-estate and property sector, the organisers have been quoted as saying in the local media report.
This year in addition to the developers showcasing their latest and finest projects, the event will also focus on providing assistance to buyers and sellers with their property needs.
Lanka Property Web Managing Director Daham Gunaratna has been quoted as saying: “Following two highly successful property shows last year, we aim to make this year’s event even larger and more successful with over 30 exhibitors participating at the show and over 50 projects showcased”.

OSL take:

Lanka Property Show 2019 provided the ideal platform for anyone looking to buy property to find great deals on sale prices and save on the 15 per cent VAT that is to be imposed on apartment sales from this April 1. Sri Lanka’s house and property sector is on a constant expansion process and the holding of the Lanka Property Show for the fourth time in a few years is indicative of the fact. Given the large scale developments taking place in the country and in its commercial capital, Colombo, Sri Lanka’s house and property market is on a continuous growth path. Investing in real estate in Sri Lanka would yield definite results given the number and scale of the development projects that are to be completed in the next few years.
