Sri Lankan property sales group seeks buyer for prominent plot of land in busy Colombo suburb
A property group in Sri Lanka, Blue Mountain, has reportedly sought a buyer for a land in Borella, which is a suburb of Colombo.
The company already has a partially completed building on the plot of land.
According to a newspaper advertisement published by the company, the 75 perch block has a “30,000 square feet construction” which can be turned into an office complex, city hotel, residential development or a mixed development.
The company has reportedly stated that the land also had clearance for a 200,000 square feet, 20 floor building.
According to reports, Sri Lanka’s land prices have sharply risen in 2015 and 2016 and continue to increase in Colombo and its immediate suburbs.
Meanwhile, the Blue Mountain company recently announced that it had struck a deal with Chinese contractor, China Harbhour Engineering to build an apartment project in Colombo.
OSL take:
The call for a buyer by the Sri Lankan property developer for a plot of land with a partially built building in the heart of Colombo is an ideal investment opportunity for a foreign or even a local business/investor to purchase a plot of valuable real estate in Sri Lanka’s commercial capital.
