CEO Anuruddha Withanarachchi and General Manager Asela Upashantha have also been present at the occasion along with Benelux Freight and Logistics LLC General Manager K. M. Shaheed, invitees and the Apey Cargo staff in Dubai.
According to reports, Sea Master Group is one of Sri Lanka’s leading private sector organisations and the Group consists of several subsidiary companies engaged in diverse fields of activity that includes Shipping and Logistics, Trading and Representation, Travels and Tourism, Warehousing and Container Terminals and Food distributions.
The latest addition to the group is Apey Cargo, which is a UPB service, from the UAE.

OSL take:

The launching of a new UPB service between the UAE and Sri Lanka by a Sri Lankan company is indicative of the strength and growth of the country’s private sector. It shows the business potential in Sri Lankan businesses. Sri Lanka’s economic policies and the ease of doing business environment in the country have created a business conducive environment in the island. Foreign businesses/investors could therefore look at forming business partnerships/joint ventures with local companies to develop and expand the respective business into foreign markets. The many trade agreements as well as the trade concessions enjoyed by the country could help in such business expansions.
