OSL take:

Sri Lanka is currently in the process of renewing its bilateral and trade ties with foreign countries. Sri Lanka enjoys strong trade ties with Germany and has also been benefited by the EU’s GSP Plus trade concessions. Germany is also a development partner of Sri Lanka. Given the ongoing development programme in Sri Lanka and the island emerging business destination in the South Asian region, German businesses/investors could explore business opportunities in Sri Lanka. German businesses could also look at setting up base in Sri Lanka to engage with other countries in the region using the trade benefits enjoyed by Sri Lanka.
