Sri Lanka and Germany to launch joint tourism promotion programme

Sri Lanka and Germany are looking at launching a joint programme to promote tourism, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Industrial Export and Investment Promotion and Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prasanna Ranatunga has told the local media.
According to reports, a discussion in this regard was held between German Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Jorn Rohde and Minister Ranatunga recently and it was decided that this programme will be executed jointly by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Tourism and the Embassy of German in Sri Lanka.
The German Embassy is to also assist in Sri Lanka Tourism to adopt new digital and other marketing techniques to promote tourism and the potential of German entrepreneurs investing in Sri Lankan industrial sector had also discussed at this meeting.
