Sri Lanka Embassy in Vietnam partners with Andrew’s Travels to promote Sri Lanka tourism
Daily Mirror: Sri Lanka Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with the Andrew’s Travels (Pvt) Ltd, participated in the Vietnam International Travel Mart Hanoi (VITM Hanoi) 2026, held in Hanoi this month, as part of a strategic initiative to promote Sri Lanka as a premier travel destination to emerging markets in Southeast Asia.
The joint participation highlighted Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism offerings, including its pristine beaches, rich cultural heritage, wildlife experiences, and growing appeal as a luxury and wellness destination. The event provided a valuable platform to engage with Vietnamese travel agents, tour operators, airlines, and potential investors.
Sri Lanka Embassy and the Representatives from Andrew’s Travels conducted a series of B2B meetings and networking sessions, fostering new partnerships and strengthening existing relationships within the Vietnamese travel trade. The initiative also focused on positioning Sri Lanka as a convenient and attractive destination for outbound Vietnamese travelers, particularly as regional connectivity continues to expand.
Speaking at the event, a spokesperson for Andrew’s Travels noted: “Vietnam represents a high-potential and fast-growing outbound market. Our participation at VITM Hanoi, together with the Sri Lanka Embassy, reflects our commitment to diversifying source markets and positioning Sri Lanka strongly within Southeast Asia.”
The Sri Lanka Pavilion attracted significant interest, with visitors expressing enthusiasm for Sri Lanka’s unique blend of experiences – from heritage sites and scenic landscapes to culinary tourism and adventure travel.
This collaboration forms part of Sri Lanka’ broader strategy to explore new markets, enhance inbound tourism to Sri Lanka, and contribute to the country’s tourism recovery and long-term growth.
