SLEIS 2026 will feature keynote addresses, high-level panel discussions, sector-focused conversations, investor engagement opportunities and business networking designed to facilitate constructive dialogue between the public and private sectors.

“Through high-level discussions and strategic engagement, the summit will explore how Sri Lanka can strengthen competitiveness, attract investment, expand exports and position itself within Asia’s evolving growth networks.”

The programme will examine the policies, partnerships and investment opportunities that can accelerate Sri Lanka’s next phase of economic growth, with further details on the agenda, speakers and sessions to be announced in the coming weeks.

Registrations are open for the event taking place on October 12 and 13 at the Shangri-La Colombo.

OSL take:

Sri Lanka’s continued economic recovery is creating a more favourable environment for foreign businesses/investors, with ongoing reforms and macroeconomic stability laying the foundation for sustained, private sector-led growth. As the country moves beyond economic stabilisation, attention is increasingly shifting towards expanding investment, boosting exports and strengthening integration with regional and global markets. This evolving economic landscape is opening business/investment opportunities across key sectors including infrastructure, tourism, manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, information technology, agriculture and financial services. Government-led reforms, together with improving business confidence, are encouraging greater private sector participation while enhancing Sri Lanka’s attractiveness as an investment destination. For foreign businesses/investors, the opportunities extend beyond direct investments to strategic partnerships and joint ventures with Sri Lankan companies. Local enterprises offer strong market knowledge, skilled human capital and established business networks, while international investors can contribute capital, technology, innovation and access to global markets. With economic reforms gathering pace and investment promotion remaining a national priority, Sri Lanka is positioning itself as a competitive destination for long-term investment, offering foreign businesses/investors the opportunity to participate in the country’s next phase of economic growth while benefiting from its strategic location at the heart of the Indian Ocean.
