Sri Lanka awards wind power transmission tender for Mullikulam Lot A to India’s RS Infraprojects

EconomyNext: Sri Lanka has awarded a $ 6.04 million contract, around Rs. 499.66 million, (excluding VAT) for construction of Lot A of the Mullikulam Wind Power Transmission Project to RS Infraprojects (Pvt) Ltd of India, minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.

Bids were invited for the construction of Lot A, which includes the Mullikulam 220/33 kV collection grid substation input structure and the construction of 2 220 kV cable trays, following an international competitive procurement procedure.

Four bids were received, Jayatissa said.

Cabinet approved the proposal to award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder RS Infraprojects (Pvt) Ltd of India.
