Sri Lanka awards a Singaporean company the spot tender to supply coal to Lakvijaya power plant
The government of Sri Lanka has awarded a spot tender to supply coal to one of the country’s power plants to Singapore-based Adani Global Pte Ltd.
Accordingly, Adani Global Pte Ltd of Singapore is to supply coal to Sri Lanka’s Lakvijaya power plant at US$ 67.39 a tonne.
Sri Lanka’s Government Information Department issuing a statement has noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has this week approved the deal to purchase 240,000 metric tonnes of coal for the 900MW power plant in the country’s north-western provincial city of Puttalam.
