OSL take:
Many local businesses have shown a steady growth and expansion in the past few months. It is an indication of the overall strength, resilience and growth of Sri Lanka’s economy despite facing many economic challenges. Sri Lanka’s economic activities and the path to becoming a regional hub have strengthened the country’s private sector. All these have opened up a host of new business/investment opportunities covering all key economic sectors as well as present opportunities for foreign businesses/investors to explore collaborations with local businesses with the aim of further expansion. With local businesses also looking at international expansions, foreign businesses/investors could look at these opportunities to collaborate to expand operations overseas as well as in Sri Lanka. The strategic positioning of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean and the many trade agreements as well as trade concessions enjoyed with other countries also support the expansion of Sri Lanka’s private sector into overseas markets as well as present business/investment opportunities in key economic sectors.
