100MW Wind Power Project
The Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) is inviting investors to participate in the development of a 100MW Wind Power Project in Mullikulam under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model with a 20-year operational period. This strategic renewable energy initiative is part of the country’s commitment to increasing clean energy capacity and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The project will consist of two 50MW wind farms, designed to harness the region’s strong and consistent wind resources, ensuring high efficiency and stable power generation. The proposed wind farm will play a key role in achieving this goal by adding 100MW of clean energy to the national grid, supporting energy security, sustainability, and economic growth. The proposed 100MW Mullikulam Wind Farm (comprising two 50 MW turbines) presents an outstanding opportunity for investors committed to sustainability and renewable energy. This project is expected to offset over 250,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, making it eligible to generate significant carbon credit revenue, appealing to investors and organizations with a strong focus on environmental responsibility.
