LG launches first-ever business innovation centre in Sri Lanka

Daily FT: LG Electronics marked a historic milestone in the Sri Lankan commercial technology landscape with the grand opening of its first-ever LG Business Innovation Centre at Abans recently. The centre is the country’s first experience hub dedicated exclusively to advanced Information Displays and Audio-Visual (AV) solutions.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by a host of distinguished dignitaries, including LG Sri Lanka Managing Director Keith Chung; Abans Managing Director Rusi Pestonjee; Abans Director Dr. Saroshi Dubash; and, Abans Director Business Development Tanaz Pestonjee.
Unlike traditional retail outlets, the new centre is designed to offer visitors a comprehensive and immersive understanding of LG’s commercial capabilities. Rather than showcasing isolated products, the facility presents complete, integrated solutions, allowing businesses to experience firsthand how LG’s technology can transform their operations.
This centre positions Abans and LG at the forefront of digital transformation in Sri Lanka, providing innovative solutions that foster smarter, more flexible business environments.
Visitors to the Innovation Centre can explore a wide array of flagship LG products, including Video Walls, Digital Signage, All-in-One LED Screens and the smart LG CreateBoard.
The centre also highlights how LG drives innovation across specific sectors such as retail through LG’s Retail Signage Solutions, creating engaging in-store experiences using vivid digital displays. These are powered by smart management tools such as SuperSign CMS and LG ConnectedCare, allowing businesses to manage content remotely and ensure system uptime.
LG is also redefining the transportation sector and public spaces through exclusive Digital Signage solutions that deliver exceptional visual clarity and flexible formatting. The technology enhances management effectiveness while providing travellers with superior visual information.
Additionally, in recognition of the rapidly evolving hospitality and healthcare industries, LG has introduced its dedicated Pro TV Solutions together with Pro Cloud and Pro Direct software management platforms, which are available on selected hotel and healthcare TV models. These solutions help hotels and hospitals enhance guest and patient experiences, streamline content management, improve operational efficiency, and meet rising service expectations through smarter digital integration.
Speaking at the launch, Keith Chung emphasised the commitment to help businesses operate smarter; “As a leader in digital transformation, LG is committed to helping businesses operate in more flexible environments. This Innovation Centre demonstrates how integrated AV and information display solutions can drive innovation across every aspect of a client’s operations.”
Rusi Pestonjee added, “Abans is proud to partner with LG to bring this pioneering initiative to Sri Lanka. By offering end-to-end commercial solutions under one roof, we are empowering local businesses to exceed their operational goals and embrace the future of digital integration.”
