OSL Take:
Sri Lanka Technological Campus being a fully owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC embarks to fulfil the National need of expanding the provision of higher education in Sri Lanka by conducting quality undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes including programmes of globally reputed and high ranked universities.
SLTC as a new initiative helps expand the much needed University-Industry collaboration.
The investment from SLT is not solely monetary but the organization has also allocated its infrastructure to realize the full potential of this endeavor.
As such, SLT has allocated its presently unutilized Satellite Earth Station premises in Padukka which consists of a state-of-the-art auditorium and facilities which can presently accommodate 300 students in a comfortable environment located on a sprawling 35 acre property.
In addition to the fully fledged campus facilities at Padukka which will conduct academic studies and have facilities for industrial research, SLTC will have a city office at the TRACE Expert City (Formally Tripoli Market), Maradana; in order to conduct professional courses, certifications and training and administrative operations such as student registrations for the campus.
