India’s top lube brand Hindustan Petroleum Lubricants in Sri Lanka with Sea World Lanka

Daily FT: Sri Lanka’s lubricants market has been significantly strengthened with the formal entry of HP Lubricants, part of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), one of India’s frontline oil majors, in partnership with Sea World Lanka Ltd.
This groundbreaking development, which also advances Sri Lanka-India trade relations in a vital sector, was fittingly celebrated at a gala launch event in Colombo. Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Dr. Satyanjal Pandey was the Chief Guest at the launch.
The event was attended by HPCL Director – Marketing Amit Garg, along with senior officials Lube Business Unit Executive Director Ch Srinivas and General Manager – International Sales Shankar Jagannathan, Carplan Lubricants Chairman Mahen Thambiah, Managing Director Andrew Perera, and their team.
As the sole distributor of HP Lubricants’ Sri Lanka franchise holder Sea World Lanka Ltd., Carplan Lubricants will offer a comprehensive range of products encompassing renowned brands of automotive oils, industrial oils and marine oils, as well as specialty products and greases, substantially increasing quality and choice in the market and catering to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements in the local automobile assembly industry.
Sea World Lanka will also market HP Lubricants’ high-performance specialty oils such as metal working oils, metal drawing oils, mould oils, quenching oils, rolling oils, and thermic oils, in addition to a wide range of marine oils.
All HP Lubricants products are manufactured to deliver superior engine protection, fuel efficiency, wide compatibility and high performance in extreme conditions, and are environment-friendly, the company said.
For distribution, Sea World Lanka has already signed up distributors covering key cities and regions in the Western, North Western, Central and Southern Provinces, and said distributors are to be appointed shortly for the other provinces.
