Group of leading French travel agents in Sri Lanka to experience all the country has to offer

A group of French travel agents consisting of seven leading travel agents recently arrived in Sri Lanka for an eight-night, nine-day tour to experience all that Sri Lanka has to offer in order to promote tourism in the country.
According to local media reports, the group is to visit tourism hotspots such Kandy, Passikudah, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa while also exploring lesser-known destinations such as Mandaramnuwara, Galoya and Inginiyagala.
The familiarisation tour is organised by leading destination management company in Sri Lanka, Connaissance De Ceylan Ltd. and Theme Resorts and Spas Ltd., which is the company’s hotel arm, in partnership with SriLankan Airlines and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
“In order for the country’s economy to bounce back and to have a steady flow of much needed forex, we should relook at reviving the tourism industry of the country to its former glory. Whatever the domestic issues, tourism industry stakeholders should be facilitated to make a quick comeback,” Connaissance and Theme Resorts Chairman Chandra Wickramasinghe has been quoted as saying in the media.
