Global information and communications technology solution provider Huawei has reportedly launched its cutting-edge cloud services to the Sri Lankan enterprise market.
Huawei has reiterated its commitment to partners and desire to contribute to the Sri Lankan ICT ecosystem.
The announcement was made at the Huawei Lanka ICT and Carrier Congress 2019, titled ‘Building a Fully Connected Intelligent Sri Lanka’ held in Colombo recently.
According to reports, the congress has also exhibited the latest technologies, which were unveiled by Huawei during Mobile World Congress 2019 held in Barcelona, Spain last month, for the first time in Asia in Sri Lanka. The rise of the latest technologies, including cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G were presented at the exhibition.
Reports state that these parallel events had brought together over 500 senior management officials across leading partners and telecom operators in Sri Lanka. The event was also attended by Telecommunication Minister Harin Fernando, and Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology Non-Cabinet Minister Ajith Perera.
Huawei Sri Lanka CEO Shunli Wang has said at the event that they were committed to play a key role in developing the country’s ICT ecosystem, to further enhance the growth in their enterprise business segment, and to support Sri Lanka’s vision to become an ICT hub in the region.
“ICT infrastructure is the cornerstone for this intelligent world. Connectivity and cloud will be the driving engines for this digitalisation transformation,” he has stated.
Noting that Huawei’s strategy is focused on fully-connected networking, intelligent computing and innovative devices, Wang said they will continue to bring the latest technology and the best services to serve all Sri Lankan enterprises to help to optimise their performance and achieve their targets.
