Business contacts and orders for Sri Lankan companies at ANUFOOD Brazil exhibition
Daily FT: Four Sri Lankan tea exporters, Imperial Tea Ltd., Maltras International Ltd., Basilure Teas Ltd., and Tea Talk Ltd., participated at the ANUFOOD Brazil 2022 exhibition held in Sao Paulo from 12 to 14 April 2022 under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Brazil.
ANUFOOD Brazil exhibition is one of the leading food and beverage exhibitions held in Brazil annually. Sri Lanka was among 19 countries that participated at the ANUFOOD 2022 which showcased over 900 Brazilian and international brands. Wholesalers and distributors, supermarkets, convenience stores and representatives from the food and beverage industry visited the exhibition.
The Sri Lankan companies received satisfactory orders and B2B meetings. Sri Lanka’s participation was facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka under the guidance of Minister Councellor (Commercial) Seevali Wijewantha.

Sri Lanka is focused on promoting its businesses and key economic sectors targeting foreign direct investments in overseas markets. Sri Lanka’s manufacturing, exports and tourism industries are among the key sectors that are being continuously promoted in overseas markets. Despite facing the pandemic challenges, Sri Lanka’s economy is once again on the path to recovery while the country’s geographical positioning in the Indian Ocean, strong trade ties and targeting to place the country as an emerging business destination in the South Asian region have all helped boost Sri Lanka’s business potential.
