As the introducers of Sri Lanka’s first-ever four-wheel tractor, the Massey Ferguson, we redefined farming practices and laid the foundation for the nation’s green revolution. Today, we continue to empower farmers with tools that drive productivity, sustainability, and economic growth.”
The new TAFE tractor model, Dynatrack, represents a significant milestone in agricultural innovation. This IoT-integrated, automated milling machine, designed by Browns IT, enables real-time performance monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and remote alerts via a cutting-edge equipment management system accessible through laptops or mobile devices.
Engineered to produce clean, high-quality rice that surpasses traditional standards, the full-option Sumo Rice Mill is operable by a single individual, making it an essential solution for farmers and millers looking to modernise their operations. It tracks operational records, provides pre-emptive maintenance alerts, and ensures optimal performance to extend the machine’s lifespan.

We understand the complexities of modern agriculture and are dedicated to empowering farmers with innovative tools, resources, and support. We take pride in our role as a catalyst for growth, helping to build the nation by nurturing and promoting agri-entrepreneurs. Together, we are cultivating a sustainable future for agriculture, driving economic development, and enhancing food security for all,” Nissanka added.
OSL take:
The ongoing economic activities and the overall economic expansion recorded as a result have resulted in a steady growth in Sri Lanka’s agriculture industry. The increasing demand locally and internationally in the agriculture industry has presented business/investment opportunities covering two key segments – consumption crop agriculture and export crop agriculture. While Sri Lankan authorities are working on programmes to expand the local agriculture industry to meet the increasing local demand, the export crop agriculture sector, which is also a key revenue generator to the country, is also looking at expanding the foreign markets as well as expanding the current product portfolio through product diversifications and value additions. All these expansions witnessed in Sri Lanka’s agriculture industry have resulted in many business/investment opportunities related to the development of the necessary infrastructure as well as supplementary infrastructure facilities to meet the increasing demand and in providing technical expertise in the mechanization of the industry along with other related technological advancements to be on par with global standards. With Sri Lanka on the path to becoming a regional hub along with overall expansions in economic activities, the business/investment opportunities presented by the agriculture industry would also witness a continued growth promising lucrative ventures. Foreign businesses/investors could therefore explore the growing opportunities in the agriculture industry while also looking at collaborations with local businesses engaged in the industry with the aim of further expanding operations.
