The decision to hold the 2021 annual meeting of the ADB was taken at its 52nd meeting held in Fiji early this month.
The next meeting of the ADB is scheduled to be held in South Korea in 2020.

OSL take:

The holding of the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Sri Lanka in 2021 that would bring in thousands of delegates to the country is indicative of the level confidence the international community has in Sri Lanka. The country would also have to upgrade it’s existing facilities to provide the requirements of the confab. This would open up a host of business/investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
