OSL take:
The steady growth in foreign travelers to the country has resulted in the increase of flights operated to Sri Lanka by international airlines. This is a clear indication of the expansion in business/investment opportunities in several key economic sectors in the country – the tourism and airport and aviation industries. Apart from tourist arrivals to the country, Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic activities and the target of becoming an emerging business destination in the South Asian region have all resulted in the increase in foreign travelers to the country. Sri Lanka’s tourism and airport and aviation industries have presented business/investment opportunities in the leisure and hospitality sectors while also presenting opportunities in the development of infrastructure and supplementary infrastructure facilities required by these sectors to meet the increasing demand. Given Sri Lanka’s growth and business potential, foreign businesses/investors could confidently explore the expanding opportunities in Sri Lanka’s tourism and airport and aviation industries.
