Establish advanced reproductive technology (ART) at university hospital in sri lanka
To establish an Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART) facility at the University of Kothalawela Defense hospital (UKDH). It is in the process of seeking investment and expertise in the field of ART to establish this facility on a PPP based business model. Subfertility is a rising problem in Sri Lanka, and it is estimated that nearly 270,000– 400,000 couples in Sri Lanka are sub-fertile and will require Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART). However, there are very few reputed ART providers in Sri Lanka, and those providers cannot meet the current demand. Therefore, sizable number of sub-fertile couples visit foreign facilities for treatment. The feasibility of the project is established.
