Sri Lanka’s third Enterprise Sri Lanka national exhibition in the Northern Province in September
The third exhibition under the Enterprise Sri Lanka programme aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the country organised by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Finance is to be held in the northern city of Jaffna this September.
The Enterprise Sri Lanka programme aimed at promoting entrepreneurs was first launched last year in the Moneragala District.
Sri Lanka’s Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera is to visit Jaffna today (9) to discuss matters related to the organisation of the exhibition in September.
The state owned English newspaper, Daily News has reported that the exhibition will apprise the public of the progress of the ongoing development projects of the government and future development programmes.
The exhibition is also aimed at raising awareness among public on the implementation of the interest subsidised loan scheme, Enterprise Sri Lanka and other similar programmes.
There will be a large number of trade stalls where the public will be able to purchase goods at subsidized prices and will also have trade and cultural shows among others.

The Enterprise Sri Lanka programme has expanded the Sri Lankan government’s programme to promote enterpreunership to all parts of the country. The programme would result in an overall growth of the country’s economy thereby creating more business/investment opportunities for foreign direct investments.
