Sri Lanka’s Panasian Power says sun-tracking 5MW solar plant finished
EconomyNext: Sri Lanka’s Panasian Power (PAP) said a 5 MegaWatt ground mounted solar power plant has been completed and was connected to the national grid on July 14.
“This project operated through the subsidiary of PAP, is the third 5MW ground-mounted solar power plant connected to the national grid and is expected to commence commercial operations shortly,” the firm said in a stock exchange filing.
The plant uses Longi Bi-facial N type solar panels which can capture sunlight from both sides.
The panels will also track the sun and move, to get the maximum light, PAP said.
