OSL take:

Along with the overall development programmes being carried out by the government of Sri Lanka covering all key economic sectors, there are several targeted development programmes like the expansion programme of the Bandaranaike International Airport and the national carrier’s catering service. Sri Lanka’s geographical positioning in the Indian Ocean along with the recent infrastructure and policy developments in the country have made Sri Lanka an attractive business destination in the South Asian region. Also, Sri Lanka continues to maintain the top slot as the destination of the year in several key global travel publications while also offering attractive packages and deals to the foreign traveler resulting in an increase in tourist arrivals to the country. All these have resulted in the need for expansion and development of Sri Lanka’s aviation sector. It is therefore evident that Sri Lanka is now a hotspot for business/investment opportunities for foreign businesses/investors.
