OSL take:
The continued recognition of places in Sri Lanka as either best places to visit or must visit places provide a further impetus to the already growing tourism industry in the country. Sri Lanka’s tourism industry is on a steady growth path and has also become a key revenue generator to the country. This growth has in turn created a host of business/investment opportunities in the country’s tourism industry and sectors related to it. These opportunities have been further expanded by Sri Lanka’s ongoing promotional campaigns in key foreign tourist source markets as well as by the increasing tourism concepts being introduced by the local tourism authorities to foreign tourists. One of the key sectors in the tourism industry that has many business/investment opportunities is the leisure and hospitality sector. The expansion programmes undertaken by businesses already engaged in the sector and the interest shown by international leisure and hospitality brands to enter Sri Lanka are indicative of the growing business potential in Sri Lanka’s tourism industry. As the country’s overall economy is on an expansion path with an increase in foreign business travelers and foreign tourists to the country, Sri Lanka’s tourism industry and related sectors present many lucrative business ventures for foreign businesses/investors.
