With Sri Lanka focused on transforming the country into a digital economy and launching an aggressive digitization programme covering all sectors to achieve the target of a digital economy, there has been a rapid expansion in the local digital industry as well as related sectors. The growth as well as profits recorded by businesses already engaged in Sri Lanka’s digital industry and the increasing interest among foreign businesses/investors to explore the expanding opportunities in the industry, all indicate the increasing business potential in Sri Lanka’s digital industry. Given all these factors foreign businesses/investors could confidently explore the expanding business/investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s digital industry and related sectors while also looking at expanding operations through partnerships or joint ventures with local businesses.
