Indian subsidiary in Sri Lanka launch French hotel brand Kyriad in the island
Orange Elephant Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., (OEHPL) which is a company incorporated in Sri Lanka and a subsidiary of Orange Tiger Hospitality Pvt. Limited., India, has reportedly launched its French hotel brand Kyriad in Sri Lanka.
The company has reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lanka Sportreizen to manage The Marina Resort in Passikudah.
In addition, Kyriad Hotels has also signed up with Sanken to manage their resort – 12 room property in Bolgoda.
“The Easter Sunday blasts did not have any negative impact for the business plans in Sri Lanka. We knew that Sri Lanka and the tourism sector had gone through bigger challengers and overcome them successfully. As expected, the tourism sector has bounced back,” Regional Director Kyriad, Central Bengaluru India, Amit Jenna has been quoted as saying.
CEO, Abhijeet Shivastava has said that with this launch, Orange Elephant targets to manage about 2,000 rooms across Sri Lanka and would attract about 1 million tourists to Lanka in a span of five years.
Kyriad is a full service brand of Louvre Hotels Group (LHG), the world’s second largest hotel chain with nearly 2,600 hotels.
According to reports, LHG with an ambitious plan for expansion of this brand across the entire Indian subcontinent has assigned the Master Franchisee of Kyriad to Orange Tiger Hospitality.
“Under this master franchisee, OTHPL has the rights to develop and market the brand in seven South Asian countries – India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Mauritius. Today, OTHPL already have about 15 Kyriads operating in India, another 5 signed to be opened soon and it’s still growing. Our next destination would be Bangladesh,” Managing Director Gaurav Pallial has said.
The different variants ensure there is a Kyriad for every traveller – Kyriad Hotel (3 star plus), Kyriad Prestige (4 star plus) and Kyriad Marvelous (5 star plus).
Also, Orange Tiger operates its own home grown brand Mastiff Hotels in India. Mastiff embodies the fierce loyalty we demonstrate to our guests.
