Tourism authorities in Sri Lanka have brought down the largest contingent of travel agents from China to the country in a bid to woo more Chinese tourists.
The government of Sri Lanka has reportedly signed 19 loan agreements worth US$ 2.4 billion during the first four months of the year, which is nine times higher from the US$ 266.2 million year earlier.
The government of Sri Lanka has announced that the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), which operates the country’s harbours, had made a profit of Rs. 10.5 billion in the first four months of 2019.
Sri Lanka tea exports for the month of May 2019 have reportedly totalled 26.6 M/kgs, which is a gain of 3.5 M/kgs in comparison to 23.07 M/kgs of May 2018.
