NSBM to attract foreign students for its international university degrees
NSBM Green University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OSL Global (Pvt) Limited today (July 15) to attract foreign students for the degree programmes offered by its affiliated top-ranked international universities here in Sri Lanka.
With this new initiative, NSBM marked another milestone in its journey of making Sri Lanka the knowledge hub in South Asia. Starting on, 50 foreign students will be enrolled at the NSBM Green University in the year 2022, for the academic programmes offered by the affiliated universities while making them a part of the NSBM student community and offering them fully-fledged learning facilities of international caliber. Over the span of 5 years, the number of foreign student enrollments will be increased up to 1000. This initiative will attract many foreign students drawn to Western higher education institutes and eventually open a new pathway that supports the Sri Lankan economy by earning foreign exchange and also acts as an opportunity to promote tourism.
The MoU was exchanged between the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. EA Weerasinghe and the Program Director of OSL Global (Pvt) Limited, Mr. Prasanna Vithanage. Further, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, the dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini de Silva, the Senior Manager of HR and Administration, Mr. Kapila Liyanage, and the head of Marketing, Mr. Venura Collambage were present at this memorable event.
