Kurinchattivu Saltern on Public Private Partnership basis
On behalf of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Chairman of the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (the “CANC”), invites sealed proposals from eligible national bidders for the rehabilitation, development and recommencing the operation of Kurinchattivu Saltern, which is estimated to cost around five hundred million Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR 500 million).
The Government of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka intends to develop kurinchattivu Saltern, which belong to Northern Section of Elephant pass Saltern, Kilinochchi on a Public and Private Partnership (PPP) basis. The Kurinchattivu Saltern has the capacity to produce a minimum of 30,000 metric tonnes of salt during full operation in the optimal climate conditions.
The RFP will be considered through a National Competitive Bidding procedure and is open to all eligible bidders who fulfill the requirement described in the RFP documents.
