European Union’s Foreign and Trade Ministers Council has provided approval towards granting Generalised System of Preference Plus (GSP +) concession to Sri Lanka, Deputy Foreign Minister, Dr. Harsha De Silva confirmed. He confirmed the news via twitter and his tweet read “The Council of Ministers of the EU approved #SriLanka GSP+ application a short while ago. It’s now done! Effective in less than 2 weeks.”.
