Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Conclave – SEIC 2017to kick off next week
The Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Conclave (SEIC), will conduct a dedicated thematic session to discuss the World Economic Outlook, Sri Lankan economic progress and the investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka.
SEIC 2017 will bring together 200 plus Participants for an invaluable opportunity to share the Economic and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka and, further, to create and strengthen investment partnerships with China, USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Dubai, Japan and Hong Kong.
SEIC’s mission is to facilitate the participation of the most dynamic individuals in the business world and showcase economic opportunities that are available in Sri Lanka and is the initiative of Dr. Palitha Kohona, former permanent representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations who is now using his experience and knowledge in international relations, trade, and law to attract sustainable and commercially viable investment opportunities to Sri Lanka.
The session, titled ‘Private Investment in Sri Lanka – Challenges and Opportunities’, will line up the likes of Mr. Dulith Herath/Mr. Jayamin Pelpola/Mr. Roshan Perera – Senior Vice President-Global Investments Maxim Group LLC, New York and Dr. Rohantha Athukorala will moderate the session.
The speakers will focus on areas of corporate/institutional investment, the requirements of investors, private equity and capital markets sectors: outlook from service to manufacturing and PPP as well as where the future lay in private enterprises in Sri Lanka. The two-day annual summit will take place on 28th and 29th November at the Kingsbury, Colombo.
