LRT sections open for investment

LRT sections open for investment

The implementation of the LRT lines not covered by JAICA funding has been identified as a
Priority Project by the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development.

The revision of the implementation process of the LRT lines not funded by JAICA has revealed that the following steps could easily speed up the implementation.

The steps:
<1. Carry out an independent initial feasibility study which covers the socio-economic and technical aspects of the project. This will be carried out in place of the detailed feasibility study indicated on the cabinet paper dated 18th October 2016 2. To call for simultaneous EOIs from potential candidates. The candidates are expected to undertake: • Detailed feasibility • Design, build, operate and manage 5 LRT lines • Any other extra lines in compliance of the Megapolis Masterplan which are not included in the JICA funding program.

3. To issue RFP documents for short listed developers identified through the EOI, after the receipt of the required details during the process of the initial feasibility study.

OSL Take:

The unity government expects that this process will drastically cut down the implementation period of the LRT sections not funded by JAICA.

All in all the time saved on this process of fast-implementation will enable the completion of the LRT line constructions within the next 3-4 years.

OSL therefore invites potential overseas parties to register with OSL to bid for the independent feasibility study opportunity with our bidding expertise.
